The Program for Licensing Assessments for Colorado Educators (PLACE®) was developed to ensure all educator candidates have the required knowledge to serve Colorado’s dynamic and diverse society. The tests cover 39 content areas and a three-part (reading, mathematics, and writing) Basic Skills test, which is not required for licensing or certification, but may be required by your college or university.
